Surgical robots are used to examine patients from the inside where it maybe harder for a doctor to see. This surgical micro robot, only 2 cm. long, was built to work inside the human body. It can be attached to various kinds of medical devices like micro cameras, micromanipulators, various sensors and drug delivery injectors.

It is a good idea to keep developing these surgical robots because they can save lives and time in an operation. It also saves cutting open the patient during a operation, the robot can be sent into the body and then do the work that is needed without harming the outside of the body. The also provide precise work, smaller incisions, decreased blood loss, less pain, and quicker healing time. Further advantages are articulation beyond normal manipulation and three-dimensional magnification, resulting in improved ergonomics.

On the other hand it could be a bad idea to make these robots because they take alot of training to use and cost alot of money to make, programme and reproduce.

In the case of surgical robots the advantages out wiegh the disadvantages by miles and the work they produce could be the start of future of the hospitals.
